Join Our Team as a Therapy/Rehabilitation Professional in Napa, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Therapy/Rehabilitation professional to join our outpatient physical therapy team. Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (5x8 hours)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Therapy/Rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred
  • Experience in a community hospital setting preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong skills in acute care, pediatrics, and rehabilitation hospital settings
  • Proficiency in multiple patient assessment techniques including adaptive and assistive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain and sensory response assessment, skin integrity, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring
  • Competence in orthopedic care including biofeedback, hand injuries/tendinopathy, McKenzie method, myofascial release, pelvic floor training, postpartum care, upper extremity amputations, and related musculoskeletal conditions
  • Expertise in documentation including assessment, evaluation, plan of care, discharge, goal setting, reassessments, and time management
  • Experience working with specialty patient populations including cardiopulmonary, oncology, pediatrics, and vestibular patients
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound (required), cervical traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, hydrotherapy, moist heat, and TENS
  • Cardiopulmonary condition management including COPD, congestive heart failure, CABG, myocardial infarction, and peripheral vascular disease
  • Neurologic rehabilitation expertise including cognitive disorders, concussion, dementia/Alzheimer’s, Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and post-stroke rehabilitation
  • Billing experience with Medicare A (required), commercial, Medicaid, private pay, and workers compensation
  • Proficiency in equipment and devices such as hospital beds, Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, traction tables, wheelchairs, crutches, gait belts, and supplemental oxygen delivery
  • Strong professional skills in home exercise programs, medication knowledge, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, as well as recognition of abuse signs and symptoms
  • Pediatrics experience including scoliosis management
  • Spanish language proficiency required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • No travel required for this position

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments using standardized techniques and tools
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating adaptive devices, modalities, and therapeutic exercises tailored to patient needs
  • Provide specialized care in orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, neurologic, oncology, pediatric, and vestibular rehabilitation
  • Deliver expert physical therapy interventions such as myofascial release, biofeedback, McKenzie approach, pelvic floor and postpartum care, among others
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Document all treatments, patient interactions, and progress accurately and timely in the designated charting system
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety, medication management, and health promotion
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care
  • Manage equipment and devices safely and efficiently to facilitate patient mobility and rehabilitation
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and billing procedures, especially Medicare A
  • Promote a culturally sensitive approach, utilizing Spanish language skills to enhance patient communication and care delivery

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist or equivalent in California
  • At least 1 year of experience in therapy/rehabilitation within acute care, pediatrics, and rehabilitation hospital environments
  • BLS certification current and maintained
  • Demonstrated proficiency in specialized orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and pediatric rehabilitation techniques
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in Spanish
  • Strong organizational abilities with excellent time management
  • Familiarity with Epic charting system or equivalent preferred
